Biographical notes:
Virgilio Bianchi was born in Forlimpopoli (Forlì) on 1 August 1922, and entered the seminary in Como. He was ordained a priest on 15 June 1946.
Five years later he received his university degree in Philosophy at the Pontificia Università Gregoriana and from 1949 to 1984 he taught the same subject at the Diocesan Seminary of Como.
Between 1949 and 1951 he was the Vice Rector of the Seminary of Como.
In 1974 he was one of the founders of the "La Famiglia" guidance centre; in the same year he was appointed Vicar General for the diocesan pastoral and in 1977 he was the founder and first Director of "Il Settimanale della Diocesi di Como".
From 1984 to 1996 he was a parish priest in Cernobbio.
He died in August 2003.
